Coming off of photographing weddings on Friday & Saturday and with the peak of wedding season just around the corner, a trip to Watercolor, FL came at perfect timing! We stayed at the Watercolor Inn & Resort which is located just outside of Destin, FL connected another wonderful little city, Seaside. We realized each trip in the past we had taken with the kids, had been with friends or family. This trip was our first “Family Vacation” and it was beyond AMAZING!
I had photographed a wedding at the Watercolor Inn & Resort last September that was featured in Gulf Coast Bride Magazine (view the feature here). The Wedding crew, coordinated by Cheryl Walton, executed one of the most smooth & well orchestrated events I have ever been a part of! The staff of the resort this past week, proved to be just as spectacular and went above and beyond, exceeding our every expectation. I had the pleasure of meeting with Jennifer Williams, the resort’s Director of Sales & Marketing, during this trip. What the Watercolor Inn & Resort offers as a wedding venue is like nothing I’ve seen. If you are looking for a destination wedding venue, it offers more than just the fairy tale location… with it’s professional staff, you can know all of the details will be executed just as you would want them.
On family vacations, I usually forget to take out my camera, since it tends to feel like “work”. But for this trip we took the camera everywhere with us and I’m sooo glad we did. I will treasure this trip and it’s pictures forever. Thanks to my husband and rockstar of a partner, Luke, for driving us down, making me laugh, and being the most fun dad EVER on this trip! Enjoy the photos… hope it’s not your typical family vacation slideshow 🙂
