Coming off of maternity leave, I have had shoot after shoot these past two weeks. I feel SO incredibly blessed but have had very little time to even take a breath! With all that’s going on I don’t want to miss photo opps of my own kiddos which are to easy to let slip on by. So made it happen! Here are few shots we got from the 30 min photo shoot of Cohen & Kinzie that we squeezed in yesterday morning…
I first had the idea for the “milk” setup for Kinzie when I found a vintage milk crate at a store called Vertigo in Westhaven. I then combed the website, Etsy (my favorite go to prop location these days) looking for old milk bottles. They all ranged from $8-20 each + tax + shipping… so I kept looking and found the PERFECT set at TJ Maxx (my second favorite prop location). Trying to get your children ready for a photo shoot is one thing, but also being the photographer makes it near impossible. We packed the car full of everything imaginable, purchased a gallon of milk & were off to Harlinsdale Farm for that “one shot” I had been dreaming of. My husband was a CHAMP! We were fighting allergies, cicadas, & the heat… but it was sooo worth fighting for.
Any moms/dads wanting to do photo shoots like this of your kids?? I dare you to catch a vision, conquer Etsy or TJ Maxx & then hit me up for photo session. It really won’t take long and it’s sooo worth it! 🙂
Wonderful concept … even beter execution of said concept!!! Lovely setting … even better subjects!! Well done!
