This is the most beautifully, helpful & inspiring DIY books (or any other medium for that matter) I have ever seen. This is the first book I have ever photographed. I will tell you I was in awe of the whole process from start to finish.
This book was a gift to me…
At the end of 2015, I said to the Lord “ok what’s next??”. I had been shooting weddings & portraits (and a few commercial projects) for 10+ years and I was desiring a new inspiration. Something fresh. Something creative. Something… I really didn’t even know what to ask for. Not long after I expressed that desire to God, I received an email from Courtney telling me she was starting her 4th book and wondered if I’d photograph it. I cannot express the JOY I felt through the entire process. This book has brought as much color to my life as can be found in its’ pages. As much flavor to my life as can be found in its’ recipes. As much celebration in my life as can be found in each party.
I know we will never know how many parties are inspired by this book, how many celebrations are creatively hosted, or how many conversations & friendships deepened by this book encouraging more hospitality. But the idea of more laughter, good food & celebrations thrills me to no end. I thank the Lord for this gift to me & pray it brings joy to all that receive it.
